The work combines deep blue brushstrokes with chaotic black tags layered over one another, resembling streams of thoughts that resist organization. The movement of the brush and the sharp lines of the marker create a sense of inner restlessness — thoughts build up, intertwine, and dissolve without ever finding a clear release. The contrast between expressive gestures and visual noise turns the composition into a metaphor for mental overload. There is no central image here — only fragments, attempts to articulate the unspoken, sinking into their own excess. “Useless Thoughts” reflects a feeling familiar to many: when the inner dialogue becomes too loud, yet remains unheard.

About the artist

An artist deeply rooted in the street scene, Nikmas doesn’t consider himself a painter in the traditional sense — but proudly calls himself a calligrapher. His journey began in 2020, when he started creating calligraphy pieces on canvas just for himself. Soon, his work expanded onto walls — sometimes in exchange for haircuts, car repairs, or whatever came his way. It was never about money, but about the process and connection. Over the past few years, Nikmas has painted more than 1,000 square meters of surfaces — walls, floors, even ceilings — turning raw spaces into expressive scripts. Beyond walls, he works on canvases and custom projects: cars, motorcycles, masks, furniture, and more. The gallery values Nikmas’s authentic approach to street calligraphy — where every stroke carries both rhythm and raw honesty.
